About Harrowfield Co
A management consulting and advisory practice on Rosewood Avenue in Los Angeles, working with organizations across Southern California.
Why we contract the individuals
Harrowfield Co was founded to sell the people who would actually do the work.
Our consultants had all worked in firms where a pitch was led by senior people the client would rarely see again. Nobody considered it dishonest because nothing had been promised in writing, which is precisely the problem.
The engagement letter names a firm, not a person. That single convention allows substitution at any point with no consequence, and it is why the quality of consulting work so often falls away after the first month.
Leverage is the business model. Firms win with expensive people and deliver with cheap ones because the gap between the two rates is where the margin lives. Capping it costs real money.
So the names and hours go in the contract. Substitution requires your written consent, shortfalls are credited automatically, and you receive a monthly statement of who did the work.
How we are engaged
Fixed fees against defined scope, agreed before work begins and never contingent on a transaction, a saving or a decision going a particular way.
Hours are capped and reported. On interim work you receive weekly statements, so scope expansion is visible while it is still small enough to discuss.
Models and documentation transfer to you. Your team and your advisors can work from them without us.
We decline work when senior capacity is full, which happens several times a year and is the only honest consequence of committing hours by name.
What every client can expect
